Sadly, most of us know someone who has been affected by cancer in one way or another. Of those, for some it has been breast cancer.
Here in the North State we are thankful for NorCal Think Pink, a community effort to promote breast cancer awareness. Each year volunteers distribute breast cancer awareness bags. Now in its 20th year, this year NorCal Think Pink will distribute 40,000 bags in Redding and surrounding communities.
Our rural community of Shingletown (30 miles south east of Redding and just outside beautiful Lassen Volcanic National Park) is an outreach community for NorCal Think Pink. Bonnie & I are part of a dedicated team of volunteers who stuff and distribute approx 600 bags here, each with a pink carnation.
In recognition of the efforts of NorCal Think Pink, Logarrow will donate a portion of the proceeds from sales of the pink products shown on our "Specials" page (listed under Products & Services, Specials).
Thanks to all of you who spread the word. Early detection does make a difference!
